Aki Shinkai (新海亜貴, Shinkai Aki?) is the childhood friend of Shouko Tanimoto and the prima ballerina at the Kataura Ballet Company.

Aki and Shouko went to elementary and middle school together. In high school, she was a member of the rocks and minerals club. Around that time, she won an international competition and received the chance to study abroad at a ballet school of her choice. She chose a French school.
